Paladin AI (PACE Canada, Montreal) builds InstructIQ, an AI platform for competency-based training assessment in flight training. Their pitch: simulator telemetry is almost entirely untapped, and human instructors alone cannot deliver consistent CBTA at scale. InstructIQ trains on thousands of simulator hours, detects behavioural patterns across thousands of variables, and grades competencies without interrater variability. Presented at HORIZON Toulouse 2025 as a PACE event for Airbus. Core personnel include Adolfo Klassen (former CAE) and Sebastien Long. The platform has four pillars: tailored learning insights, virtual instructor guidance, adaptive training intelligence, and standardized competency assessments. Roadmap includes a Virtual Real-Time Instructor agent and autonomous adaptive training. No pricing disclosed. No independent validation of effectiveness claims cited in the deck. The presentation frames InstructIQ as augmenting instructors, not replacing them.
